Everviolet’s Sustainability Promise & Eco-Mission

At Everviolet, being kind to the earth is one of our biggest priorities. That’s why, from day one, we’ve focused on being environmentally responsible in all aspects of our business practices. With the apparel industry representing one of the most toxic industries globally, this Earth Day, we’re reflecting on our impact and recommitting to minimizing our carbon footprint. From small batch production and sustainable fabrics to recycled and reusable packaging and shipping materials, read on to learn more about Everviolet’s eco-mission.

Everviolet believes in transparency.

We believe in being open and honest to build trust. Being transparent allows us to educate our customers about our ethical manufacturing processes and our commitment to slow fashion – to empower them to use their dollars for good and understand the impact of their spending choices. We drive positive change and encourage other brands to engage in sustainable practices.

Everviolet’s jersey fabrics are always sustainable.

Our commitment to the earth runs deep, so much so that everything we create is with the environment in mind. Our signature jersey is made from a blend of cotton, certified TENCEL™ modal and spandex, and it comes from eco-friendly mills that source fibers from responsibly managed forests in the United States, Canada and abroad. Here’s why these luxe materials are great for lingerie and loungewear:

Cotton

Cotton is a natural fiber that is soft, breathable and hypoallergenic. It is durable and easy to care for, making it a popular choice for undergarments and loungewear. It’s also a renewable resource and a more sustainable option than synthetic materials like polyester or nylon.

Certified TENCEL™ Modal

We are proud partners of Lenzing, a global leader in sustainable fabrications that produces certified TENCEL™ Modal – a sustainably-sourced, natural fiber made from the pulp of beechwood trees. This ideal material for intimate apparel is what gives our garments their natural softness and comfort, increased quality, efficient moisture-wicking properties and enhanced breathability. Certified TENCEL™ Modal is also made using a closed-loop system, which means that the solvent used in the manufacturing process is recycled and reused, resulting in minimal environmental impact. We’re proud to have partnered with Lenzing Group since our launch.

Spandex

Spandex, also known as elastane or Lycra, is a synthetic fiber commonly used to add stretch and comfort. While Spandex itself is not biodegradable, it can be recycled and reused. By blending spandex with other fibers like certified TENCEL™ Modal and cotton, the resulting fabric is still considered to be sustainable. It helps to extend the life of garments, reducing the need for replacement and ultimately, lowering the environmental impact of clothing production.

Everviolet is produced in small batches.

Before launching Everviolet, our Founder, Keira, was acutely aware of the toxic and damaging impact the apparel industry has on our planet, with a significant amount of clothing ending up in landfills. She didn’t want to contribute to this issue, so she identified factories willing to produce the collection in small batches, offering several benefits for the environment and the consumer:

Hands-on production process.

Each Everviolet garment is crafted with the care and attention it deserves. This allows us to have a higher quality product that performs better and is long-lasting. It also ensures consistency across all styles.

Flexibility in the manufacturing process.

Producing in small batches enables us to respond quickly to changes in demand and feedback from our customers, allowing us to modify designs when needed and better meet the needs of our community. It also means that we avoid overproduction and excess inventory, which contribute to waste and a negative impact on Mother Earth.

Close relationships with our suppliers and manufacturers.

We building strong relationships based on trust, collaboration and a shared commitment to ethical practices. These values help to ensure that Everviolet is produced in a fair and responsible manner, with respect for all the individuals involved in the process.

Unique, limited-edition designs that are not mass-produced.

Since we don’t overproduce Everviolet garments, each piece is exclusive and special. Nothing is mass-manufactured, and our customers know they’re getting a garment of great value from a brand who truly cares about their well-being.

Everviolet’s packaging and shipping materials are made with recycled and reusable materials.

From tissue paper to boxes, letterhead to notecards, all the paper we use in our packaging is recycled. When handling returns, customers also reuse their original packaging, so as not to deplete other sources. Every little bit helps when it comes to reducing our footprint!

You know those cute boudoir bags that come with Everviolet orders? They’re part of our mission to create reusable packaging. They can be re-purposed as travel or home storage, and they also make great gift bags.

Zero emission Customer Care

We’re proud to offer complimentary fit consultations via email, zoom and live chat to help our customers find their ideal styles and fits, all from the comfort of home. This service reduces returns, minimizing shipments back to our HQ, and ensures that women get the right garment on their first purchase.

This year, join us in celebrating Earth Day by taking action to protect the beautiful planet we call home. Whether it's by selecting sustainable garments like Everviolet, reducing plastic waste or supporting female-owned and local businesses that prioritize sustainability, every small action counts. Together, we can make a difference and create a better world for ourselves and future generations.
